Student growth
Access: Students and their families have been exposed to people, programs, resources, and connections that can open doors for them, and they are able to navigate and access those opportunities.
Habits and Mindsets: Students reference their teacher’s guidance in organization, study habits, character
traits and values (like persistence, striving for accuracy, etc.). They have internalized these traits beyond just talking about them which has led to personal growth on the part of the student.
Advocacy: Students have knowledge of injustice in the world, have informed opinions about it, and know that their voice and actions have value. They can advocate for themselves and others.
Dramatic Academic Growth: Academic gains are the ultimate door opener – they are the foundation of a truly
transformational teacher. Students make dramatic levels of academic growth (that is
measurable and rigorous). Families know the level of rigor necessary for college and
career readiness in the 21st century.
